Self Catering Terms & Conditions
Bookings for all self catering properties at Mossyard are subject to the following terms and conditions as agreed to at the time of booking.
You are booking with property owners J&J McConchie Ltd.
The booking becomes official when you receive a confirmation and receipt of payment.
Important – Insurance
We strongly advise you to take out comprehensive travel insurance so if you need to cancel your holiday for any reason your costs will be covered. J&J McConchie Ltd is not liable for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation or by guests failure to attend their booking.
Booking Eligibility
The lead booker must be 18+ and is responsible for the named guests in their group.
Payment Policy
· A 30% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
· Your balance is due 8 weeks (56 days) prior to the commencement of your holiday.
· When a booking is due to commence less than 8 weeks (56 days) from the booking date full payment will be required at the time of booking.
· Failure to pay the balance payment by the specified date will result in your booking being cancelled. We will always attempt to contact you by email and telephone before cancelling your booking. If we fail to receive a response and payment completion then your booking will be cancelled.
Cancellation Policy
· If a cancellation is made more than 8 weeks (56 days) prior to your arrival date we will not require the balance payment due. In this instance your deposit is non refundable and non transferable.
· If a balance payment has been made and we receive a cancellation less than 56 days prior to arrival no refund will be given.
· At all times your deposit is non refundable and non transferable.
· Cancellations must be notified to us by telephone and then confirmed in writing.
· Your booking will only be cancelled by J&J McConchie Ltd in exceptional circumstances that are beyond our control. If your booking cannot go ahead if possible we will offer you an alternative property or we will issue a full refund.
Responsibility & Liability
· J&J McConchie Ltd is not responsible for accidents, damage or losses during your stay.
· The lead booker is responsible for any damage caused by you or your group during your stay.
· You must not re let or sublet the property, even free of charge.
During your stay
· The property must be used only for a holiday stay.
· No parties unless agreed in writing.
· You must not exceed the property occupancy.
· You are responsible for keeping the property clean and tidy.
· We request you use utilities (electricity, heating, gas etc) reasonably.
· All inventory (kitchen items, bedding & towels etc) must remain in the property and not be taken to other properties at Mossyard.
· Smoking is not permitted in any of our properties or communal areas.
· Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by parents/guardians at all times.
Dogs
· Dogs are only allowed by arrangement prior to your arrival. You will be charged £35.00 per dog per week (max 2 per property).
· Dogs must not go on the furniture or beds and must not be left unattended at any time.
· You are responsible for cleaning up any mess left by your dog in the grounds of your property and all areas of Mossyard.
· Unauthorised dogs can lead to a booking cancellation.
Arrival & Departure
· Properties are available from 4pm onwards on your day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 10am on your day of departure.
· Please advise if arrival is expected to be late evening or delayed.
· We request notification if you are vacating the property earlier than the booked departure day.
· Late departure may incur a fee as it affects our ability to clean and prepare the property for incoming guests.
· We ask that prior to departure your property is left in a clean and orderly manner. Please ensure left over food is cleared, beds are stripped and all kitchen items are washed and returned to where they were found on arrival. We reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if guests leave the property in an unacceptable condition.
EV Charging
· There is a charge of £65.00 per week for Electric Vehicle charging (13 amp). Unauthorised charging will result in a fee.
Damage
· In making a booking with J&J McConchie Ltd you accept responsibility for any damage, breakage or theft caused by you or any member of your party and as result agree to recompense us in full for any loss or charge that we may incur as a result.
· We ask that you treat the property with due care so that other guests are not affected following your stay. In the event that you cause damage in your accommodation please report it immediately so that we can take appropriate action.
· If you have any breakages during your stay please advise us prior to departure.
· All properties are inspected on departure and you will be charged for any loss or damage found.
Problems/Complaints
· If you encounter any problems during your stay please report them immediately and we will endeavour to resolve matters for you. Any complaints reported after the completion of the holiday may not be considered.
Owner Rights
· We reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
· We can refuse entry or terminate your stay if property rules are broken.
· We will not be responsible for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the property and we will endeavour to fix such defects or malfunctions as soon as possible.
· Please consider other guests at Mossyard. We will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour that disturbs others. In the event of unacceptable behaviour we reserve the right to terminate your stay without a refund.
Touring & Camping Low Season & Mid Season Booking Conditions
- 2 nights = full payment at time of booking
- 3 nights or more = £20.00 deposit per pitch
Any remaining balance of pitch fees for the period booked are payable 21 days prior to the commencement of your holiday.
We regret we are unable to accept 1 night bookings in low & mid season.
Touring & Camping High Season Booking Conditions
- £50.00 deposit per pitch per week
The balance of the pitch fees for the period booked are payable 21 days prior to the commencement of your holiday. During high season date periods a Saturday to Saturday booking is required.
Touring & Camping Payment Policy
Any remaining balance payments are due 21 days prior to the commencement of your holiday. Failure to pay the balance payment by the specified date may result in your booking being cancelled with no refunds being made. We will always attempt to contact you via e-mail and telephone before cancelling your booking, however if we fail to receive a response and payment completion after this your booking will be cancelled.
We accept all major debit and credit cards (excluding American Express).
Touring & Camping Cancellation Policy
No balance payment is required if a cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to your arrival date. In this instance your deposit is not refundable or transferable.
If you cancel on or less than 21 days prior to the commencement of your holiday no refund, either partial or in full, will be given.
Please note, 2 night full payment bookings are non refundable and non transferrable regardless of cancellation notice given.
COVID-19 Cancellation
We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance, so should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason your costs will be covered. Mossyard is not liable for any loss incurred by guests failure to attend their booking.
Touring & Camping Arrival & Departure
Pitches are available from 2pm onwards on day of arrival and must be vacated by no later than 12 noon on day of departure. Please advise if arrival is expected after 6pm. To avoid disturbance to other guests no arrivals permitted after 10pm.
Early Departure
No refunds will be given for early departure.
We require full payment of the pitch fees for the period that has been booked 21 days prior to the commencement of your holiday. At the time of balance payment being due we cannot amend your balance if you choose to depart on an earlier date than originally booked.
Occupancy
A maximum of 6 people per pitch booked – up to 4 additional guests may join you on your pitch at an additional charge of £5.00 per person per night.
Unaccompanied children (under 18) are not permitted to stay onsite. They must be accompanied by an adult over 25 years of age. Children and dogs must not be left unattended on site at any time.
Group Bookings
We welcome group bookings but ONLY by prior arrangement by phone so we can accommodate you appropriately. Please contact us directly to organise group bookings. We reserve the right to cancel group bookings or ask guests to leave the site without refund if they fail to disclose group gatherings to us in advance.
We expect all our guests to respect and look after the site.
Please consider other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and first thing in the morning. We will not tolerate unacceptable levels of noise or loud music that disturbs others. In the event of any unacceptable behaviour we reserve the right to ask you to leave the site without a refund. If you experience noise issues, please contact reception and a member of our team will deal with this.
Parents are responsible for their children at all times and as such children must always be supervised.
Noise & Code of Conduct
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any facilities or communal areas.
Additional Tents
All pitches are limited to two additional tents per pitch and these must be no larger than two-man tents in size.
Groundsheets
It is requested that you use a breatheable groundsheet and when possible please lift your groundsheet daily in order to keep our grass in good condition.
Parking
All pitches are limited to 1 car per pitch. Additional cars must be parked in the overflow car parking area in our storage field. Please ensure you park within your pitch and do not block roads or access to other pitches.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Mossyard and owners must always be responsible for them. Dogs must be kept on leads on all areas of the park and are not allowed in the facilities or communal areas. We are happy for dogs to be walked around the beach paths but we would ask that you do not enter any fields being used for agricultural purposes. All dog mess must be cleaned up and deposited in bins.
Jet Skis
We regret Jets Skis are not permitted at Mossyard.
TV Reception
Due to our rural location we cannot guarantee a good TV signal on all pitches. We therefore advise that if this is important to you a satellite dish is necessary.
Fires & BBQ's
BBQ’s are permitted on site but we regret fire pits are not allowed to be used on any pitches on site. We are happy if you wish to have a fire on the beach but we ask that all fire debris is removed and the beach is left as you found it.
Cleaning, Refuse & Recycling
Guests are expected to leave pitches in a clean and tidy condition.
The dishwashing area, showers and toilet facilities should always be left in a clean and tidy manner for the next user.
We would ask that all guests appropriately recycle ALL rubbish and adhere to the correct bin usage.
Travel Insurance
We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance, so should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason your costs will be covered. Mossyard is not liable for any loss incurred by guests failure to attend their booking.
Complaints & Suggestions
We welcome all comments from guests and always aim to improve what we do. If you have suggestions on ways we can improve our guest experience please let us know by email enquiry@mossyard.co.uk.
In the event that you wish to make a complaint during your stay please contact us whilst you are on site and we will do all we can to rectify the situation.
Additional
Failure to comply with these terms and conditions will make you liable to lose your booking or your right to stay at Mossyard without refund. Guests are expected to follow any additional requests and safety instructions issued by site staff. This is for the safety and enjoyment of all site users and staff.
All data collected is for the sole use of Mossyard in relation to your booking and services provided by Mossyard and we will not pass or sell this information onto any third party.
